Task

My task was to redesign the service to improve the user experience, focusing on developing an intuitive Main page and user-friendly flow for the form-filling process. I have redesigned the Keden service and made better UX that led to jawdropping results.

🔝CRAZY Results🤯:

Between June and August, the number of monthly active users (MAU) increased by 55%. Additionally, revenue from customs duties grew by 2712% during the same period.

First button:

First button (Fill out the customs) - I emphasized the button intended for filling out the customs clearance form (Main function of the service) and paying customs duties for international postal shipments (IPS), making it stand out to attract users' attention.

Second button (Calculator of customs duty fee)&nbsp; - During the research on customs duty payments, it was discovered that frequent payers always calculate the duty in advance to ensure they have the exact amount of money ready for payment. In Kazakhstan, there was no convenient service for calculating customs duties, so people had to do it manually. After analyzing similar services in other countries, such as Belarus and Russia, we decided to create a customs duty calculator. This tool will help users quickly and accurately calculate the duty, improving the overall user experience.

Third button - The FAQ section is a place where frequently asked questions are compiled along with their answers. It helps users quickly find information, reducing the workload on customer support and improving the overall interaction with the product or service.

❌ The Problem

In the context of student mentorship, there arose an issue with a high workload for mentors. Mentors were spending around 10-15 hours per week answering students' questions, which covered both academic content and other topics. Many of these questions were repetitive, further increasing the workload. In cases where mentors were busy, students were left without answers, even though their questions could have been answered by other students.

✅&nbsp;Solution&nbsp;

To address this issue, I conducted research on existing Learning Management Systems (LMS) and found that many of them successfully use "Question and Answers" forums to reduce the workload on mentors and improve student interaction.

We decided to implement a "Question and Answers" forum on the platform, where students can ask questions and receive answers not only from mentors but also from their peers.

✅&nbsp;Reduction of Mentor Workload

The time mentors spent answering questions has decreased by 75%, allowing them to focus on more important tasks in working with students.

Now, students receive answers to their questions much faster, as they can rely not only on mentors but also on their peers for help. This has significantly improved their satisfaction with the learning process and reduced the number of repetitive questions.

Steps for Implementing the Solution:

📊 Analysis of Existing LMS Systems&nbsp;

I researched several popular LMS platforms, such as Moodle, Coursera, and Udemy, to understand how they address the interaction challenges between students and mentors.

I identified best practices, such as using forums and discussions for information exchange and collaborative problem-solving.

🖋️&nbsp;How "QnA" forum was built:

1. I made the structure of the forum, dividing it into several sections, including academic materials, general questions, and technical support.

2. I organized categories so that students can easily find relevant topics and ask questions in the appropriate sections. I also enabled a search feature, allowing users to quickly find previously discussed questions and answers.

3. When designing the forum interface, I used elements from the JUZ40 UI Kit to ensure consistency and ease of use. This helped create an intuitive and aesthetically pleasing interface, aligned with the rest of the platform.

Problem

During my research on student engagement in lessons, I came across articles indicating that many students may feel too shy to ask questions publicly, fearing they might appear foolish. This prevented them from receiving the necessary answers and support, as well as reduced their active participation in the learning process. Articles:

To address this issue, I decided to implement the option for students to ask questions anonymously, inspired by the example of the Piazza platform, which successfully utilizes this feature.

The task was to create an intuitive and user-friendly interface for the methodologist, enabling them to efficiently create and manage lectures, homework assignments, tests, and error reviews.

Results: The developed interface was highly rated by methodologists for its convenience and functionality.
